Successes and Goals

 
On the Field

Lacrosse Program:

 

  • 2007 – 2008 Successes
    • Increased lacrosse team participation by 60%; now have over 260 players participating in Spring lacrosse.
    • Partnered with deBeer/Gait to offer every player identical equipment and uniforms for practice and games.
    • Re-established CLLC’s Varsity Program and won 4 City Championships at the Battle of Bunker Hill tournament.
    • Became only lacrosse program in Boston to offer lacrosse programs for K – 12 students.   
  • 2008 – 2009 Goals
    • Conduct Varsity practices during the winter months to keep our older players engaged.
    • Establish a High School Summer League to become the only year round youth lacrosse organization in Massachusetts.
    • Have 100% of our volunteer coaches trained to CLLC coaching philosophy and first aid certified by March 1st 2009.
 
In the Classroom

Learning Center:

 

  • 2007 – 2008 Successes
    • CLLC’s Summer Readers read over 500 books during the 2008 summer months.
    • Established a Healthy Eating Program that includes cooking and nutrition classes.
    • All five students who completed CLLC’s ISEE program were admitted, and now attend, the prestigious Boston Latin School.
  • 2008 – 2009 Goals
    • Establish a Teen Room with year round programming for education and wellness.
    • Extend Advantage Testing classes to include additional ISEE, SSAT and SAT preparation.
    • Establish a gardening program to supplement the Nutrition Classes.
 
 
And In Life
Life:
  • 2007 - 2008 Successes
    • 12 players attended overnight camps in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Massachusetts.
    • CLLC Student Athletes logged over 500 Community Service hours during the 2008 School Year.
    • CLLC’s Board of Directors awarded a scholarship to a graduating senior that helped the student cover the cost of books during Freshman year.
  • 2008 - 2009 Goals
    • Host weekend trips to explore new activities (ski trips, deep sea fishing, ropes courses).
    • Send 25 athletes to lacrosse and educational themed summer camps.
    • Increase the number of student athletes performing Community Service hours.
